A couple in the sidelines of "Panjah Bedar" ceremony in Qazvin city, 9 May 2013. Besides Sizdah Bedar(the thirteenth day of the Spring) and the joyful festivals held in the nature, the people of Qazvin go out on the 9th day of May to pray for rain and greenness . This ceremony is called Panjah Bedar. This ceremony in the precinct of Rah e Ray Mossala and in the middle of the old gardens of the region is delightfully emphasized so that families gather in groups for praying, thanksgiving and playing. Following lunch and after drinking tea, they go back to home at dusk. See more pictures at ISNA

A "Haft Seen" table seen in a local cemetery, in one of the villages in Mazandaran province, Iran. May, 2013.
Haft-Seen (Persian: هفت‌سین‎) or the seven 'S's is a traditional table setting of Nowruz, the traditional Iranian spring celebration. The haft seen table includes seven items all starting with the letter seen (س) in the Persian alphabet.

Laylat al-Qadr (Arabic: لیلة القدر‎) (also known as Shab-e-Qadr), variously rendered in English as the Night of Destiny, Night of Power, Night of Value, the Night of Decree or Night of Measures, is the anniversary of two very important dates in Islam that occurred in the month of Ramadan. It is the anniversary of the night Muslims believe the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad.This night being of historical significance, Muslims should worship as much as they can on this night. It is also believed to be the night when God decides the destiny of everyone.
